Genius vs. Simpleton

Question:  Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?

I would definately want to be the joyful simpleton.  Though being a genius would be nice sometimes, I would not want to be worried all the time.  Where as being joyful sounds really  nice.

Change..

Question:  What is one thing you would change in America today?

I would change the education system.  We have been talking about the institution of education in Sociology, and it is almost embarrassing how America has fallen throughout the years.  A rising portion of our population is illiterate, and that is not acceptable in today’s world.  In order for America to once again be a superpower in the world we have to make sure that all Americans are educated and given a chance to succeed.  Then, and only then, we can succeed as a country.

Changing History

Question:  If you could change one thing that happened in history, what would it be?

If I could change one thing that happened in history, it would be the Holocaust.  The genocide of all the innocent people during WWII was just terrible.  I believe it is something that should never be forgotten, but if I could go back and change it, I definately would.

Great Teachers?

Question:  Who was your favorite teacher in school?

My favorite teacher (and also the teacher who had the biggest impact on me) was Mrs. Shepherd-Wundrow.  She was my sixth grade reading and Social Studies teacher.  She had a way of making learning fun.  In Social Studies, we would do simulations so it was more hands on and not just reading from the book.  Then in reading we wrote our own children’s books and wrote our own book about a senior citizen in the community.  I learned so much from Mrs. Shepherd Wundrow.  Most importantly though, she taught me to appreciate all different kinds of people.

High School Second Chance

Question:  If you could go back to high school, what would you do differently?

If I could go back to high school, the only thing I would do is be more involved.  I would have found a couple of clubs, and stuck with them all througout high school.  Instead I tried a bunch of different clubs and never stuck with them.  And once I found a couple of clubs, I would really be involved in them; I wouldn’t just attend the meetings, but do something for the club.

Perfect Day

Question:  What is your idea of a perfect day?

My day would start with getting up early enough to see the sunrise from a great spot (preferably over water somewhere).  I would then spend the day with my family; playing games, talking, watching movies, and just relaxing.  It would be nice to take time out our busy schedules to just catch up with each other.  I would then watch the sunset (once again preferably over water somewhere).  The night, I would then spend with my friends; hanging out and just doing crazy stuff.  I wouldn’t have to go anywhere; my perfect day is just spending it with those I love.

What’s yours?  Thanks for reading :)

If I Could Go Anywhere….

Question:  If you could go anywhere in the world (no matter cost) where would you go?

If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to Europe.  I would first visit Spain.  I would first go to Spain to practice my Spanish, and to visit all the famous cities (Seville, Madrid, etc.).  I would then head over to France to see the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, and of course the Louvre.  I would then head down to Italy and go to Rome and Vatican City.  This would be my most anticipated stop.  Following Italy, I would go to Greece, England, and Germany.  But if I had to limit it to one place, I would definately say Italy.

The Lottery

If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you do with it?

If I won the lottery tomorrow, I would put enough money aside to pay for the rest of my college education; plus enough money to pay for my sibling’s college.  I would also put enough money aside so that after graduation a few people and I could travel the world and see all that it has to offer.  I would also donate to a few charities (American Cancer Society, Humane Society, and others).  Lastly, I would of course go shopping!

What would you do with it?  Feel free to leave your ideas!  Thanks for reading!

Priorities!

Put in order of importance:  love, happiness, wealth, wisdom, and health

My Answer:  Happiness, love, health, wisdom, wealth

I put happiness first because all I really want in life is to be happy…I believe that if someone is happy, nothing else really matters.

One More Day?

Question:  Think of someone you love that has died.  Would you give up one year of your life so you could spend one more day with them, if not a day, a week?  Why?

My Answer:  Though it would be nice to see them again, and tell them how much I miss them; I wouldn’t do it.  First, for the reason that either a day or a week is not nearly enough time.  Also I would be giving up 365 days, or 52 weeks of spending time with others I love; just to spend one day or a week with one loved one.  I don’t think one day is worth 365, and I don’t think 1 week is worth 52 .  And finally I wouldn’t do it because someday I will get to see them again, and I will have all the days I want.
